Mark's running tips for the first timer

 

  • Set up and stick to a walk run running program.
  • Join a running group or find a running friend.
  • Always take a day off between a run.
  • Consistency, you will increase your distance the more consistent you are.
  • Keep yourself hydrated before after and during your run.
  • Ice any sore areas after running. Consult an RMT during your training.
  • Stretch before and after running.
  • Walk briskly before and after running.
  • Wear proper running shoes. Change them every 500km.
  • Wear proper running (breathable) clothing, no cotton.
