Mark's running tips for the first timer
- Set up and stick to a walk run running program.
- Join a running group or find a running friend.
- Always take a day off between a run.
- Consistency, you will increase your distance the more consistent you are.
- Keep yourself hydrated before after and during your run.
- Ice any sore areas after running. Consult an RMT during your training.
- Stretch before and after running.
- Walk briskly before and after running.
- Wear proper running shoes. Change them every 500km.
- Wear proper running (breathable) clothing, no cotton.
