Shoko came to Canada in 1999 to study Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia. After completing her Bachelor’s degree, she decided to further her education in Massage Therapy, graduating in 2006.

 

Shoko’s interest in exercise science and massage therapy originated from her love for sports, outdoors and athletics. She believes that the modalities work hand in hand to improve function and performance for people in rehabilitation or high performance sports. She has been involved in many areas of fitness including, Changing Aging (fitness for elder population) at UBC, teaching fitness classes as well as personal training for people of all ages, mobility and goals. Shoko aims for specific treatments and exercise prescription to assist people to reach their goals.
