Copy of Electra HealthAs one of Vancouver’s largest and oldest massage therapy clinics in downtown Vancouver, our priority has always been to provide the best service for our clients. That is why we are excited to announce that direct billing is available at Everest Therapeutics! This gives you the option of having our team submit a massage therapy claim to your health insurance provider on your behalf. It eliminates the need for you to submit your own insurance claims, as your insurance provider will submit payment to us directly. With a clinic of over 25 RMTs, working 7 days a week from 8 AM – 8 PM, our direct billing option is just another step in our patient service culture that makes us who we are.

At Everest Therapeutics, our approach to direct billing is unique: we offer an online set-up, which makes your registration simple, easy and efficient. Once you’ve booked your appointment and filled out the necessary information through our online portal, our administrative team gets you set up for direct billing within hours. We submit your insurance requests and your extended health plan responses are almost immediate. Our direct billing option helps maximize your benefits package, saves you money and makes your life a little more simple.

What to expect

Before booking your appointment, it is important that you confirm with your extended health insurance that your plan has coverage for registered massage therapy. This can be done by consulting your benefits package information or speaking to your HR department.

After booking your initial appointment, please email info@everesttherapeutics.com and provide the name of your insurance provider. Once sent, you will receive an online document from our administrative team. Please fill this out and send it back to us as soon as possible. We also ask that you please send a copy of your extended healthcare card to info@everesttherapeutics.com. From there, we will register you immediately to get you up and running in time for your appointment.

At the time of your appointment, please check in with our reception team. Once you’ve arrived, the reception will submit an insurance claim on your behalf. We will receive a response from your extended healthcare provider before the end of your appointment. This response indicates the amount that your insurance provider will cover for your treatment. If there are any outstanding amounts, we can simply use the credit card on file and email you a receipt.

FAQs

Is massage therapy covered under direct billing?
Yes, massage therapy is covered by direct billing. Most extended health plans will cover massage therapy, but you will need to look at your specific plan for coverage amounts. If you are unsure, please consult your HR department or your benefits package.

Will I need to pay anything after you direct bill my plan?
This will depend on which insurance plan you have, as coverage can vary between plans and providers. While some insurance companies have full coverage, others operate through a co-payment plan. For example, your insurance company may cover 75% of your massage, which means that 25% of the cost is covered by you. Please consult your extended healthcare plan or your HR department for details on your coverage. If you do have any outstanding amounts at the end of your appointment, our reception team will inform you and can use the card on file to collect payment.

Can you check what my exact coverage is or how many visits are covered?
Not exactly. During the time of your treatment, we will submit a direct billing request. This will let us know how much your extended healthcare plan will cover for the specific treatment. However, in order to find out your overall coverage and the total amount available to you, you will need to consult your HR department or your extended healthcare paperwork.
