Osteopathic Techniques – Downtown Vancouver
The osteopathic techniques practiced by some of our therapists are those taught in the British schools of osteopathic medicine. We make this distinction because of the split that occurred in the osteopathic profession in the 1950’s.
In the US, osteopaths moved away from the holistic approach. They conduct surgery and prescribe medication. However, in Europe and Canada, osteopaths practice the true art of manual medicine.
For Osteopathic Massage, We Recommend:
Myofascial release, Craniosacral, Strain Counter Strain and GOT are just some of the techniques used by the osteopathic practitioner. If you are looking for something that addresses your entire body while also impacting the troubling area, osteopathy is a treatment you should try.

What is Osteopathic Massage?
Osteopathic manual medicine differs greatly from all allopathic treatments and most alternative treatments because of its true holistic approach. Massage Therapy, Chiropractic, and Physiotherapy emerged from osteopathy.
The osteopathic practitioner assesses and treats from the perspective of the whole body and seeks to restore the proper mobility of its component parts. Attaining harmonious balance among the body’s systems: musculoskeletal, circulatory, digestive, pulmonary, neural etc., is the ultimate goal of an osteopathic treatment.
What Our Clients Say About Us
Michelle BarbourDecember 20, 2024 Eliza has magic hands! Cannot recommend her enough. leila saidiDecember 19, 2024 Had a massage with Tanner and it was fantastic! Had lower back and shoulder/neck tension that he was able to release - Hit all the right spots. Really great advice too on breathing techniques and mind to body to prevent stress related tension. Highly recommend! Ganna KuzavovaDecember 19, 2024 Tanner is a fabulous practitioner! Thank you for fixing my pain and helping me every time I come. Definitely recommend him! Ignatius SinnDecember 13, 2024 Alex was kind, professional, and the massage was extremely relaxing :) Amanda ForbesDecember 12, 2024 When looking for an RMT, I was looking for more than just a relaxing massage. I am a fairly athletic person who plays sports, cycles, and recently got into triathlons. I was looking for someone who could help me with my recovery, help me work through chronic issues and give me preventative guidance. Eliza does all that and so much more. I’m always so torn when recommending her to others because I selfishly want to be able to book her whenever I want, but it’s not fair to those who want and need a knowledgeable, strong, and effective RMT (who also has fantastic taste in music!). Eliza is by far the best RMT I’ve ever had and has helped me work through issues that I had once given up ever fixing. Do yourself a favour and book a session with her to see for yourself! Amir PourjabbariDecember 9, 2024 Ayaka was great! She asked the right questions and really professional. She really knows what she’s doing!!! Reham CojuangcoDecember 3, 2024 My RMT Jad is the best!! Can't recommend him enough. Not only does he have healing hands but he also lends an empathetic and kind ear if you're the sort to chat through your appointments like I am. I'm always greeted with a friendly smile and treated with care. He'll be my forever RMT.Google rating score: 4.9 of 5, based on 346 reviews
